Food, drinks, souveneirs

Near the entrance, we have a cafe with tables, chairs, and benches both indoors and outdoors where you can enjoy hot and cold beverages, ice cream, or other treats. Please note that food and drinks cannot be taken inside the exhibition halls.

In our gift shop, you can buy souvenirs for yourself, family and friends. We also have books by local authors, including Astor Furseth who has written Dommedagsfjellet, Tafjordulykka75 å etter, Skredulykker og Farlige bølgjer. (The doomsday mountain, the Tafjord Disaster 75 year anniversary; Historical Landslides and tsunamis in Norway)

Parking

We have a large parking lot right outside the center, and plenty of space for buses. The area is wheelchair and stroller accessible. The center has an elevator for all floors. We have wheelchair accessible bathrooms with baby changing stations as well as a microwave in the cafe for heating up baby food.

How to get here;

Tafjord is located between two major tourist attractions; Geiranger and Trollstigen and is the gateway to hikers’ eldorado; Tafjordfjella. The center is located down Tafjordbygda road, on the left side of the river, about 700 meters from the bridge. Follow the signs.
